I come to You on bent knees, O Lord my God, for there is nothing sweeter to my heart than the tenderness of Your counsel as I seek You in deep prayer. I willingly uncover the wounds of my heart. I know that I can safely reveal the longings of my soul for there is no condemnation in Your eyes. I thank You, God, that You treasure the tears of those whom You love. You remind me that not one of my tears is wasted here in my temporary dwelling place. In Your promise, I can trust and look forward to living without the flow of tears one day in Your glorious Kingdom. Until then, I will focus my own eyes upon the given assignments ordained for me until I complete them to Your glory and renown. I will walk in the solace of Your company, knowing that in prayer I will find the comfort of Your closeness which I seek. Help me to shut the world out so that I can be engulfed by the goodness of the King. Under the solace of Psalm 91:14-16 and the authority of Christ, these prayers are for You to behold, my God.
“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
