Today’s Prayer

My merciful Father in heaven, let Your holy name be exalted in the life of Your servant. Shield me from the damages inflicted through the schemes of Satan. May my faith remove the barbs of discontent lodged in my heart from the past. Lord, keep me in the shadows of Your wings so that the sun will not harm me by day nor the moon by night. Rather, let the light of Your holy presence be my guide and refuge when all around me is dark and forbidding. In You, my trust is manifest. In You, my hope is secure. In You, every need is met. Let the empty caverns of my soul not remain hollow because the indwelling of Your Holy Spirit has infiltrated every crevice. Work in me, Lord, to remove the stains upon my soul because I long to look on You with a pure and un-defiled heart. Under the word of Psalm 121:5-6 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I lift these prayers to You, my God and King.

The Lord is your keeper;
    the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
Psalm 121:5-6, ESV
