My great God of all the universe, let Your treasured child be pulled into the depth of Your heart. Re-ignite my call to freedom, Lord, as I serve You through loving others. Draw me away from the one who seeks to devour my soul because You woo me with the romance of truth as revealed in Your Holy Word. Prevent my disappointments from turning into injury as You center me on an eternal perspective that calms and soothes my heart. Let Your love flow through me, Your grace infuse me, Your mighty Word heal me and Your tender touch mold me. Surround me with the rejoicing pleasure of sweet victory as I am consumed by desire to please my one and only King. Enable me to forgive others so that I might not be consumed by offense. I will look to You, Jesus, for the power of my inheritance which will allow me to walk in the way of love. Under the treasured truth of Galatians 5:13-15 and the authority of Christ, I set these prayers before You, O God.
For you were called to freedom, brothers.
Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh,
but through love serve one another.
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word:
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
But if you bite and devour one another,
watch out that you are not consumed by one another.
