Blessed be Your name, O Holy Father whom I faithfully serve. Let Your servant find rest beneath the canopy of truth only You provide. Your word is truth. Your grace is sufficient. Your love is sustaining. Shield me from the piercing consequences of the curse of this fallen world as You have designed in me a warrior spirit that remembers life as it is supposed to be. Lord, forgive Your children when we long for what was in the face of what is. Help me to cultivate that willingness to bring the light into the darkness even when I would much rather retreat from the darkness to the warmth of light’s embrace. You have created me to shine, Lord. Help me to do so. Remind me that I am on mission. I am Your ambassador. I am Your outreach of hope and love to this world. Raise me up in steadfast determination to complete the assignments given with the strength of the hope that comes as I continually listen for the call of my eternal home. Under the reminder of Your word in Isaiah 51:3 along with Christ’s authority, I pray.
For the Lord comforts Zion;
he comforts all her waste places
and makes her wilderness like Eden,
her desert like the garden of the Lord;
joy and gladness will be found in her,
thanksgiving and the voice of song.
Isaiah 51:3, ESV
