You are the word of the beginning, my Lord and Savior, first-born of all creation. Let the wonder of Your mighty work still the restless soul of Your beloved child. Measure to me a fullness of joy not experienced before. Delight me with anticipation of what is to come on earth as well as in heaven. May the reflection of all that is good dissolve the shadows of all that is bad here on earth. Meet me around the campfire of holiness where my spirit will be ignited by the glow of revelation so that my heart is set ablaze by embers of discovery in Your word. Feed my soul with that which roasts over the open flame of blessing as I feast upon the satisfaction that worshipping You supplies. Light up my life in this darkened world with the glow of eternal perspective that will keep my heart warmed even in the coldest relationships. Under the beauty of Psalm 63:5-7 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers are offered upon the fire of the altar of the King.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
Psalm 63:5-7, ESV
