Merciful Father in heaven, show compassionate grace to Your beloved child today. For I am prone to wander into the territory of ingratitude by the way of grumbling and complaining. Clip the waywardness of my tongue, Lord, by the holy correction of Your Spirit before I speak words that will not bring life and love to those who hear me. Let my deepest desire be to so saturate my heart with Your truth and love so that the overflow is nothing less than a beautiful reflection of my Savior through both word and deed. I invite Your sifting of soul, Lord God, so that impurities are caught up on the breeze of this world’s philosophies to be blown away; while the pure truth of Your Word settles deep into every crevice of my being making me whole again in the image of my Creator. In Your goodness, there is life abundant. Under the Word of Philippians 2:14-16 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly pray.
Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
that you may be blameless and innocent,
children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked
and twisted generation,
among whom you shine as lights in the world,
holding fast to the word of life
Philippians 2:14-16, ESV
