Today’s Prayer

My Father in heaven, You own my heart. My soul delights in Your presence. My spirit clings to Your holiness. Take me out into the secret place where I can meet with You in splendid solitude. Lead me out into the meadow of merciful guidance so that I can become what You intended me to be. Build me up in every area that is weak, Lord, so that I can fight the battles waging within me. Let me labor for the glory of Your Kingdom. Watch over me, Jesus, so that I stay awake to the deceptions and schemes clamoring to trip me up. Remind me that I am Your beloved who can rest safely in You through the guarding of Your Word around my soul. Fill my quiver with arrows of truth that will vanquish the lies which the enemy has wounded me with. Make me Your warrior of hope. Under the mighty Word of Romans 15:8-9 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.

For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised
to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises
given to the patriarchs,
and in order that the Gentiles
might glorify God for his mercy.
Romans 15:8-9, ESV
