God of all goodness, look upon Your servant with favor in these times that lay before me. Help me not to incline my heart toward the pursuit of wealth which does not satisfy. Let me not make an idol of money, of status, or of accumulation that leads me in endless pursuit on a dead-end road. Whatever You have given me, let it satisfy. Whatever You have withheld, let it teach me. Enable me, Lord, to trust in Your providence so that true contentment rests my weary soul. Worldly possessions are nothing compared to the riches I have been given in Christ. Imprint my soul with Your image. Impress my character with Your love. Under the Word of truth in Psalm 90:14 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,
that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psalm 90:14, ESV
