Worthy of all praise are You, my Father in heaven. Take the hallelujahs of my heart and delight Yourself in Your servant so that I can revel in Your joy. You are the One whose hands shape the innermost parts of my soul into a perfect reflection of Christ. You are the One who takes the ugliness and turns it into beauty. You take the weakness and cover it with grace. You take the selfish inclinations and bend them to Your will. What joy becomes my soul in my yielding to You, O God. What delight encompasses my heart when I submit to Your love. Help me not to resist that which is offered me through Your sacrifice on the cross. In the power of Your divine love let me walk away from the path of foolishness. Under the mighty Word of truth in 1 Corinthians 1:18 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly pray.

For the message of the cross is foolishness
to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
