Great God of all the universe, You are mighty to save. Have mercy on Your beloved as the enemy threatens me with enticing temptations that are difficult to resist in times of hurt and pain. I am overwhelmed by the spiritual assault that drags me down. You, O God of my heart, are my strong tower, my refuge and the source of my strength. Let my soul find rest in You. Your power and unfailing love cradles me in security. May my entire being cling to You, Jesus. May my soul be pulled into Your protective embrace so that the evil plans of the devourer fail. For Your love is like a river running through the failures of my life. Your love is like the rain that makes dry ground blossom with life. Bursting with the light of a grateful heart for Your divine rescue, let me praise You now and forevermore. Under the Word of truth in Psalm 66:5 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
