Jesus, call to me that I might come out to You upon the waters. Reach for me in the midst of the storm that swirls inside my soul. For You can empower me to do what I cannot do through my own strength. When the anxiety of life pulls me under, grab my reaching hand so that I do not drown in my own self-pity. When wave after wave of trouble keeps knocking me down, Lord, grant me the strength to get up even when I feel like just staying down. Turn my focus away from the wind. Rather, let me focus on Your promises. Do not let me gaze at the raging storm. Instead, let me fix the eyes of my heart on Your sacrificial love. In the hope of Christ, may I rise high above the storm. In the faith given me, may I be anchored. In the love of Jesus, my Savior, may I abide now and always. Under the mighty reminder in 1 Corinthians 13:13 and the authority of Christ, I humbly pray.

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
