Lord of all the Universe, I thank You that You make beauty out of ashes. When the flames of adversity consume what I thought I needed, it is Your heart that shelters the true treasures of my life. When the fires of temptation threaten to burn me, it is Your living water welling up inside of me that keeps me cool, quenching the thirst that drives me. Lord Jesus, You are my everything. You are enough for me. Take me to a space of deeper intimacy with You in prayer so that I can grow into the image-bearing servant of the Kingdom You designed me to be. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, accomplish what You have tasked for this life given me. Move me into a new territory of divine perspective when my eyes get clouded by lesser desires, Lord. My heart is open before You and only You. Teach me how to love. Under the Word given in John 13:34-35 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray with my heart bowed before You.

A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another: just as I have loved you,
