My Father in heaven, when my soul is pressed to the point of groaning, let my heart rest assured that You hear my whispered aches. The sound of my cry does not fall on deaf ears because Your love is ever attentive to the pain of Your beloved. As the sun rises in the morning, let me fall into the safety net of Your mercy. Jesus, shield me from the pain that can be a foothold for the enemy. Let me not seek ways to alleviate the woundedness of my soul. Rather, let me come to You for healing. Let me not ignore that underlying current of iniquity that festers beneath every hurt I experience lest it grows into a cancer within my spirit. Cleanse me, Jesus, in the power of Your righteousness. For wicked intention is not what You desire in Your loved ones. Empower me to speak and live the truth in the face of this world’s lies. Enable me to walk and delight in Your ways despite the many paths that stretch out before me. Beckon me in the direction of Your Kingdom, Lord, because I am Yours alone. Under the beauty of the Word given in Psalm 5:1-2 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Give ear to my words, O Lord;
consider my groaning.
Give attention to the sound of my cry,
my King and my God,
for to You do I pray.
Psalm 5:1-2, ESV

Asking the Lord to touch you tenderly with His mighty, healing hands so you can rest in His love and recuperate to the fullness of relief from pain. I am very familiar with back issues and physical pain. It is a terrible distraction at times, but the forced rest is good for added prayer time. Be well, my friend.
