Lord God Almighty, I come to this holy moment of sweet blessedness in Your presence with a contrite heart and willing spirit. I am awed by Your majesty. I am undone by Your grace. In the power of the silence, awaken my sleepy heart. In the radiance of Your presence infuse the dark places of my soul with holy light. Let every request clamoring for attention in my mind fade away as I bask in the beauty of the King. Let my one desire be to know You more, God. Let my one pursuit be union with You in prayer. Let my mouth remain shut as I listen to the only voice that soothes my soul. May every word I speak come in Your power because I have first listened. Lord, I silence the requests that I often bring to You because You know what is on my heart. I revel in the intimate union that You have invited me to experience in prayer. I delight in the reconciling work of Christ on the cross. There is nothing that I need besides You, Lord. You are my everything. Under the mighty power of Your Word as given in Psalm 46:10 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly pray.
