My Lord and King, I call out to You from amidst the cacophony of incongruent notes made in the discordant symphony of a fallen world. Tune my ears to listen for the sweet strains of heaven’s music. Make my heart to sing in faith, Lord Jesus, because I love You more than I love this life. Drive away my grief, Lord, so that I can find rest beneath the banner of love You have placed over me. My confidence rests in the Name of my God. Jesus, take the crown of my heart’s delight, for it belongs to You. Take the fibers of my being and weave them together with the resurrection power of eternal love until I come alive again. Let my sin-stains not dishonor the beauty of the Lord because You have removed them from me. Open me up to revealed joy in You, Jesus. Drown me in the river of blissful hope that flows from eternity into my soul, cleansing, nourishing and taking me deeper into the glorious presence which makes me whole again. I rejoice that I am a sheep of Your pasture. Only You can shepherd me well, Jesus. Under the Word You have given in John 10:11 & 12:25 and the authority of Jesus Christ, Savior and King, I pray.
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:11, ESV
Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world
will keep it for eternal life.
John 12:25, ESV
