Lord, my weary heart confounds me and trips me up. Awaken my soul to the sweet melody of love divine. Tune my senses to awareness of Your holiness. Place in me a zeal for Your will to be realized in my life. Pull me toward eternity by Your powerful grace. I long to be with You face to face, Lord Jesus. My heart desires only to please You. Forgive the spiritual chill that freezes my soul into a vain stupor. Warm me by the fires of Your sacred Word so that I can come alive in You. Fulfill me, Holy Spirit of the living God, so that Your work is not constrained by my sinful inclinations. Take me to the foot of the cross where I can remember all You have done as I gaze in gratitude upon the depth of Your wounds. Teach me the magnitude of sacrifice so that I can be embraced and remade by Your love divine. Under the mighty Word of Psalm 15:1-2 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray with my heart in Your hands.
