Lord of heaven and earth, how my heart rejoices that You are the One who leads me in my sojourning. Though I dwell in a land filled with perils and temptations, Your rod and Your staff are my comforting guides. Let my soul be resolved to remain upon Your path. Within the intimacy of prayer, I seek Your counsel, Spirit of the Living God. Within the delight of praises, I draw near to You. Let me not take a step before I have waited upon the Lord, my God. Let me move forward only at Your command, Jesus. My soul rests in the assurance that You are with me. My mind cannot fathom the depths of Your grace which condescends to join me in my humiliation and banishment. Great God of all the Universe, Your perfect love is the ray of light that pierces through the darkness of my selfishness. As I traverse the shadowy land of death, Your presence assures me with the brightness of truth. Lord, move my feet in rhythm to the faith You have birthed in me. Let my life resonate with the melodic cadence of the new song You have put in my soul. You have brought me up from the pit of troubles. You have set my feet on a rock. With You, Jesus, I will pass unscathed by the difficulties and tragedies of life in a fallen world. In the shadow of the cross, death no longer shackles me with terror. Launch Your beloved upon new waters, Lord God. Let me no longer fear the wind and the waves of this sojourning. Under the Word given in Psalm 18:2 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
