My Lord and King, to You I have pledged the allegiance of my soul. Your enabling presence is my strength to resist the temptation to be satisfied with worldly trinkets when You have offered me eternal treasure. May I not become blinded by the things surrounding me as I approach the limits of my life here on earth. Rather, let me consider myself a vessel of Your making through which holy contents can be poured into the lives of others. Guide me into the fold of Your truth where the borders secure me from enemy traps and internal snares. Beneath Your leadership Lord let me follow in into battle, fully knowing that every victory is destined to be won. Grant me the strength to fight in Your Name, Jesus. May those who look upon my scars glorify Your Name and see the purpose of life’s unexplained pain. Cleanse me and wash me, Lord, until my noisy heart is quieted by the peace You promised. Whether at rest or in battle, may I live for Your love, God. Under the Word given in 2 Chronicles 20:15 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid!
Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
