My heart, Lord, has been injured by my own folly. The grievous errors of selfishness have robbed You of full access to others through me. Though my blunders are many Jesus, I know You will not hold them against me. Your grace is phenomenally far-reaching. Your greatness and goodness cannot be marred by my foolishness. Bring me out of the valley of indifference where I have lingered far too long, Lord. Let Your Word be a catalyst that sparks embers of faith within me until my soul is impassioned with zeal for Your Name and renown. It is human nature to neglect the truth of God in exchange for the lies of convenient justification for our sin. May it not be so with me. With a full blush on my soul, I come before You to present my selfish ambition in hopes that You will exchange them for godly desires. I place my empty heart upon the altar, hoping You will fill me with Your Spirit, God. You are good and delight to make Yourself known. Renew the longing within me, Lord. A longing to be Your vessel and Your ambassador. Let my heart’s injuries heal through the wisdom and mercy of following Your sovereign leadership now and forevermore. Under the mystery and treasure of Your Word in James 1:5 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly pray.
