Today’s Prayer

Like the jaws of a hungry lion, unbelief devours the beauty of faith with biting accuracy. Make me aware of its various forms Lord God, so that the subtle attacks gain little ground in my heart. When doubt makes me question Your divine intention Lord, remind me that answers are found in Your Word alone. When pride convinces me that You do not have my best interests at heart, take me into the realm of conviction where light shines in the dark places of my soul. When personal ambition eclipses Your will Lord, let the shadows move in and remind me that Yours is always the better way. Truly unbelief is stealthy in its approach. Keep me on my guard as only You can do, Lord. Deny me what You must if it means I will grow closer to You. Give me more than I think I can handle if it means my faith will be stretched. Whatever my position in the Kingdom, I rejoice knowing that my faith in You is not misplaced. When challenged by unbelief, grant me the weaponry to fight, Lord. Shield me with the armor granted me in Christ so that I can adequately defend the holy ground. Thank You that You never leave me alone in the battle. You are my Captain and my Rear-Guard. It is enough to be Yours. Give me a believing heart that does not fail. Without faith, I can have no part of You. I trust in the Almighty Savior of my soul who has power to shut the mouths of lions. Under the mighty Word of truth in Daniel 6:22 and the authority of Christ, I lift these prayers.

My God has sent His angel, and has shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me; because as before Him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.
