May the degree of my faith be warmed a thousand-fold because You are with me, Lord my God. My own efforts are insufficient and woefully inadequate to reach the depths of Your heart as revealed to those who truly seek You. When I take another step, let it be because Your Spirit moves me to do so. When I hold back, let it be on account of wisdom’s counsel. Lord, grant me a healthy distrust of myself and increase my faith in You. When emotions war within me, claim the victory by reminding me of Your holy promises. Your influence in my life is not only gracious, it is merciful. I dare not enter any battle without the equipment You have granted to those who call on Your Name. Though negligence is a habit easily fallen into, let it be said of Your servant that devotion is the thread that makes up the fabric of my heart. Of all You have given, let me make diligent use. Faith is a gift that I never want to take for granted. May I guard against the first sign of it so that love for You does not grow cold. Warm the fires of faith in my soul until they blaze with a reflection of Christ that is a glimmer bringing You glory. Under the mighty Word of the Lord set down in Proverbs 14:33 and the blessed authority of Christ my King, I bow in pleading prayer.
