Deliver me, Lord Jesus, from the mockery of my own all-too-human emotion. Amid perplexing circumstances, may I not cast blame at Your feet but rather search the depths of my own soul where iniquity truly lies. Forgive me, Father, for agreeing with the lies circling me like vultures. Lies cast like a net from cultural influencers or snares set by the enemy of my soul. Be my shield against those who pursue my heart with evil intent and rob my mind of peace. Only Your eyes are good, Lord. Only Your Word contains the truth that cleanses me. Shake my sleepy soul awake when the dreamy slumber of indulgence charms like a lullaby that fills the spiritual senses. Set my gaze on the eternal horizon so that when the sun sets within my soul, I can come home to Your open arms. Lord Jesus, I want to glorify You with each of the moments granted to this life. Protect my fragile heart from the enticement of sin which promises pleasure for this world alone. Set each conversation with the timbre of grace, Lord. May the distaste of gossip and idle chatter keep me from engaging in work that robs You of time designated for Kingdom purpose. Anoint my speech with godly intentions Lord, because I will one day answer for every spoken word as well as for how time was spent. Advance Your servant in wisdom and holiness so that my life is not a legacy to me but a beacon to You. Through all that I do and say, may others be enlivened by grace, truth, and peace. Yours is the Kingdom. Under the blessed and mighty Word of God in Psalm 119:25-27 and the authority of Christ, I bow in adoring prayer.
