Keep me close to Your heart, Lord Jesus. Tether Your servant to the truth. Captivate my soul with a desire for holiness. Let me not grow weary in seeking You where You may be found. Jesus, You animate me with Your love. You grant me energy when my Spirit is weary. You enable me to serve the call You have placed upon my heart. Sanctify my conversations so that each word drips with adoration for You. Make me a pointer to the One who is greater than myself. Lord, don’t let me get tripped up with vain commentaries and dangerous gossip. Rather, keep my speech seasoned with grace and mindful of what really matters. Pull heart and soul into my worship. Though I present You with a marred image that falls short of what You intended at creation, help me to reflect You more accurately tomorrow than I do today. For You have melted my frozen heart. You have broken down the strongholds that kept my spirit captive. I have every reason to rejoice at Your table and revel in Your company. Salvation is a banquet that plucks the invited out of famine. Lord, I gladly feast on Your compassion and grace. With heartfelt worship, I adore You. Under the Word of truth in Ecclesiastes 5:2 and the authority of Christ Jesus, my Savior and Lord, I bow in humble prayer.

Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few.
