As I flee from the influence of evil, Lord, let me run into the refuge of holiness. Your omnipotent arm reaches into the darkest pit with the power of light. Only Your saving grace can rescue me from the danger and calamity I bring upon myself. The protection You offer from the cross spans time and history in the most romantic way. Let those who recognize the trouble they are in take refuge beneath the canopy of salvation. The only shadow I delight in is the shadow of Your wings, Lord. In my weakness, my heart takes flight on the winds of mercy. No longer do I want to make light of my offenses toward You, Lord. Teach me to walk in integrity and honor as befits a child of Your Name. Uproot the thick jungle of weeds tearing my soul apart so that temptation is not something I need to fear. Rip out doubt, insecurity, carnality, and selfishness. Let me not betray Your work in me, Father. Keep me from living a life of assaulting truth and undermining who You designed me to be. Lead me in the way of holiness that honors and glorifies my Creator. Under the blessed assurance only found in Your Word, James 4:7-8, and the authority of my Savior, Christ Jesus, I bow in adoring prayer.

Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.
