My Review

The first installment, Book 1 THE YOUTH, gives an account of Daniel’s early years – from his childhood in Jerusalem, the cradle of his spirituality and character, to his young adulthood in Babylon, when he is sent to his first duty at Nebuchadnezzar’s Royal court.

I have to admit that this book truly surprised me. I had little expectation when I selected it but was pleasantly satisfied. This is a well-written story that is both fluent and eloquent in its writing style. The descriptions are enchanting and captivating. I found myself relating to Daniel in a way I never thought I would. Kalo truly brings depth to this prophet in the Bible.

There are three books in the series and I highly recommend them all. I found the pace an odd mixture of relaxing and tense. I found some sections hard to put down. You won’t be disappointed if you are a fan of Biblical fiction.
