My Review

A simple love story with a unique writing style is the best description for this novel. Sylvia Stafford and Colonel Sebastian are likable and complex characters that are easy to relate to.

Mimi Mathews takes her readers into another era with delicate grace that touches the heartstrings. Her characters are wonderfully developed and the scenes are imaginatively constructed. It reminded me of the old Bronte novels that I read back in the day.

If you enjoy romance and an easy read, this story is for you.
