Lord, may Your perfect purpose and pre-designed plan for this life in Christ unfold according to Your desire, not my own ambitions. Your divine love is my motivator. Your Word is my guide. In the gale-force winds of confusion, tune my ears to the still, small voice of assurance that says, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’ With persistence, help me remember Your promises. With faith, help me to trust even as I stand at the crisp edges of the unknown. I look to You, Lord, for patience in the waiting periods of life, asking that in such times You increase my awareness of Your presence. Only by holding Your hand, Jesus, can I truly reach my full potential. Focus my life on knowing You and pursuing what You want from me instead of what I want from You. Inflame the passion of the gospel within my heart until faith shines like a beacon that illuminates the way to Your Kingdom. As I meet with You in the secret place, Lord, I ask that Your counsel in prayer is not easily forgotten. It is Your wisdom that anchors me in every storm. Show me any grievous behavior that dishonors You. In the repentant power of love, turn me from those traits that do not fit a child of the King. May my heart desires reflect Your plans and purposes for this life given me in Christ, Lord. Under the truth of Jeremiah 29:11-13 and the authority of Christ I come to the altar in prayer.
