In the purity flowing like a river from the cross, I perpetually praise You, Lord. With melodies etched in my heart by the truth offered in Your Word, I gladly make music with the life You have given me. Even songs of old, those that are loved, become dull in comparison to the new song You have written in my soul with instruments of heavenly promise. Your Word is truth that creates a solid foundation upon which I can build, using the tools You have given me. Even when the ground of circumstances shake and tremble, Your firm foundation gives my soul a security to cling to. Let Your unfailing love become a canopy in my life, a shield of protection which I remain under because it is the presence of Your grace. Allow me to extend such grace to others. Move my heart with Your breath. Frustrate any plans of mine that are contrary to Your will. Thwart my selfish schemes. Only Your plans stand firm. Your intentions never fail. Fold me safely into the inheritance with a grateful heart as I turn my face to heaven, tears of praise barely containing my admiration. You alone are worthy of worship, God Almighty. Watch over those who trust in Your unfailing love. Those You have kept alive by plucking them out of the world. My hope is in You. My praise will never cease. The song You sing over me never ends. May I join in the lyrics of new life. Under the blessed truth of Your Word in Psalm 96:1-3 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
