Almighty Sovereign God and King of this universe, grant understanding to Your servant as I walk in Your ways. I seek You for the strength to endure trials, faith to overcome obstacles, and patience to wait upon Your perfect timing. In all things, settle the storms that rise up in my own soul. Your gentle, yet commanding, voice of love assures me that I can trust Your plan. As the flames of adversity lick up the calming waters of peace in my life, Your Word is the wind that lifts me above the scorching heat. When a mighty mountain blocks the path of Your perfect will, by faith I know such a mountain can be moved by Your hand. When emotional burdens drag me down with a weight I cannot bear on my own, it is Your Spirit that I can lean on. Bring Your shield of protection over me as You guard me in purity and sanctify my soul so that I bring glory to Your great and mighty Name. Lift me to the rock that is higher, Lord, because I am in need of a heavenly perspective over difficult earthly circumstances. Under the mighty authority of Jesus and the truth of scripture in Psalm 61:1-2, I set these prayers at Your feet.
