Today’s Prayer

Unless You loved me first, how could I have loved You, Lord? Unless You chose me specifically, how could I be Yours? What blessed assurance comes for those whose identity is in Christ. The cloak of salvation covers my shame. The bandage of grace wraps around the soul wounds brought on by my iniquity. My hallelujahs have been multiplied. The ghosts of indiscretion haunt me no more. My God, You have been at work in me and through me. Your fingerprints have left evidence on my heart that proves I belong to You. The majesty of Your Name quickens me. The rhythm of my breath resonates with Your Spirit. My delight is fully birthed from Your desire, Lord God. In the surety of being chosen by You, I find security. Truly, I could not have accomplished anything of worth without You. Let my life bless Your Name. Let my words bring You praise. Let my desire manifest my love for You in holiness. Keep me ever mindful of Your presence, Lord God. This day and forevermore I bring You praise. Under the truth of Your Word set down in 1 John 4:18-19 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.
