Father, Your resources are unlimited, so let me not fear tomorrow’s provisions today. With inspiration as unyielding as the beauty of a sunrise, enable me to live worthy of the calling. Where pride infects the heart Lord, cure me with a dosage of humility. Let my efforts to remain united in You through the Spirit not be in vain. With careful attention and diligence, my devotion will enhance intimate knowledge of Your truth-bearing heart. I look to You, Jesus, for the empowerment of wisdom that only comes with abiding in You. Let my soul be Your dwelling place as I yield myself to Your Lordship. May trust, like spreading roots, go deeper in truth, in grace, and in love. Grant me the understanding that will allow Your servant to do better tomorrow than I am doing today. Complete me with the fullness and power that comes only from abiding in You. God, You are my Savior King, the Almighty Maker of heaven and earth. By the power of Your Name, surround my languishing soul with the purity of divine love. Move Your angel armies into battle formation so that I can feel the victory despite the snare of my doubts. I cry out to You, O Lord, to help me overcome the obstacles through the strength and energy You supply. Make real to me the truth that the joy of the Lord is my strength, for my heart desires to walk in the victory of the cross of Christ. So I will fight the hate with the purity of love. I will wound the darkness with the power of light. I will inflict the doubts with the steadfastness of truth. I will defeat despair with the promised hope of Christ, in whom my soul finds rest in victory. Under the blessed power of the Word in John 16:33 and the authority of Christ Jesus I pray.
