My soul is eager to hear Your voice, Lord God. For I know You are always ready to speak to those who diligently wait with anticipation to hear Your heart. If there is any hindrance to the divine communion, it is surely on my part and not on Yours. For You are the one standing at my door and knocking. The responsibility falls to me to open it and let You in. Will You rejoice to enter my weary heart in need of far too many repairs? There is much brokenness within, Lord. May I venture to hope that You will not find such a state appalling? Though You have much to reprove in me, I pray for Your abiding presence. It is only then that I can carry the fruit Your Spirit produces in me. Transform my heart with the coming horizon of righteousness, Lord Jesus. My soul invites You eagerly and waits with the greatest anticipation. Speak Lord. Your servant listens. Under the guidance of Your Holy Word in 1 Samuel 3:10 and the authority of Christ I bow in prayer.
