Your love, Lord, is altogether sublime. Your teaching attracts my heart with a pull toward holiness. The persuasiveness of Your grace becomes the stronghold that takes me out of enemy territory. I find myself thoroughly enchanted by Your presence, Jesus. Your irreproachable life and self-denying labor are inspirational. Truly, I love You because You first loved me. Let me sit and ponder the amazing implication of that truth. Even Your last love toward me will be stronger than my first toward You. Increase the motives of my devotion, God. Help me connect less with myself and far more with You. Your all-conquering adoration has captured my fullest attention. Let me not become distracted by searching for food that will not satisfy as only You can. I press forward, Lord, to give You more than I have before. More of my heart. More of my time. More access to the secrets of my soul. Truly, all blessings flow from Your loving hands. Only by Your Spirit can I rise to become something better than myself. While I wrestle with cares and sorrows, Your presence slays the bitterness by overshadowing it all with kindness of a divine nature. Lord Jesus, You are my portion. You are enough. By abiding in You, I rest contented. Under the blessing of John 15:9-11 and the authority of Christ, I bow in humble prayer.

As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
