Hasten Your coming, Lord Jesus, for those who are in a state of weary perplexity. Bring Your infinitely surpassing glory to cast light on the shadows of troubled, lost souls. Let the full display of Your sovereignty and power guide the chosen leaders of Your church for times such as this. It is Your sovereign desire to captivate hearts that were once rebellious. It is Your delight to soften the hardest of hearts by a continual exposure to truth. Do not give up on Your bride, Lord. Let Your Spirit have His way in the mouths of preachers fully submitted to You. May the leaders not feed on anything besides the bread of life to sustain their souls toward spiritual health. Just a Word from You in the power of grace accomplishes far more than any man-made effort. Open the eyes of the church to repent of vileness and corruption. Open hearts to wakefulness that pulls Your chosen ones out of spiritual slumber. Inspire feet paralyzed by fear to take Kingdom steps. Let us join You in Your mighty work upon the earth. You have anointed many for such a time as this. Keep Your beloved on the straight and narrow road, Lord Jesus. Under the truth of Your Holy Word set down in Isaiah 38:16-17 and the authority of Christ I bow in prayer.
