Today’s Prayer

My entire dependence is upon Your good will and perpetual favor, Lord God. The pleasure of Your company is my richest enjoyment. Father, I can’t live on stale manna nor can I summon help from worldly allies. I come to You, Jesus, carrying my load of needs. Needs that can only be met by You. Faith does not thrive beneath the shade of old anointing. My spirit needs the fresh pouring of oil to make it pulsate with divine power. It is Your guidance that leads my weary soul to the summit where my view is colored by heaven’s perspective. It is only You who can keep it there; only You who can prevent my falling. Lord, let me not sink into the miry pit that I am so familiar with. Upon the mountain of holiness and reverence let my soul make its last stand. Do not hide Your face from me, Lord Jesus. Do not take Your Spirit from me. Lest I abide completely in You, I am worthless to this world. Under the blessing of Your Word in Colossians 1:21-23 and the authority of Christ, I bow in abiding prayer.

You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before Him, if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard.
Colossians 1:21-23, ESV
