Jesus, holy is Your Name to which we bow in reverence. Let us find the truest delight in knowing we belong to You. Yours is the Name above all names. Make it well with the soul of Your beloved child. Lord, be the lifter of my head, the comforter of my hurt, and the healer of my pain. With the comfort with which You have comforted me, I look to comfort another. Let Your chosen ones be known by their love. Enable me to dance upon the wind and waves of adversity and to soar above the storms of affliction. For Your Spirit is greater in me than he who attempts to wreak havoc in my life. Let my heart rejoice in Your tender protection as You shield me from the treachery I can scarcely fathom in this world. Lord, increase my faith as only You can. May I be made aware of the firmness of Your grip of love upon my soul. May my heart find rest in the romance of eternity’s song with which You woo my tired spirit. Be enthralled by Your servants, O Mighty King. Let our devotion to You run deep inside every rooted soul. Under Ephesians 3:14-19 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers are set at Your beautiful feet with reverence and awe.

My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask Him to strengthen you by His Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite Him in. And I ask Him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
