My tried and vexed soul finds comfort in Your salvation, Lord. What sweet solace is tucked within the promise of You always being with Your beloved. Blessed is the heart whose stormy contents are calmed at the sound of Your voice. My belonging to You, Jesus, is clearly a display of undeserved favor. Continually on Your mind and knowing that Your thoughts are far higher than my own, all my fears are set to rest. You are my Savior who never sleeps because Your eye is continually fixed upon Your loved ones. Truly, my welfare is of the utmost concern to Your heart. No enemy is able to pluck me from the sure grip of Your love, Jesus. Let me be honored by the notion that Your heart yearns for me and Your thoughts are toward me. Though affliction abounds, You are not my enemy. Your providence is working goodness with all the details of my life – even the ones that cause me much consternation. Your love, stronger than death, canopies my days. Your hope, higher than distress, comforts my nights. Blessed am I because You have made me Your own. Blessed is my soul because You are continually with me. Under the Spirit’s guidance in John 16:33 and the blessed authority of my Savior, I pray.
