With my errors appearing new every hour, Lord, protect me from the lingering effects of temptation that entices me toward separating from You. Only wrapped within the power of Your Spirit can I be guarded. Troubling thoughts of a worldly nature creep from their lurking places when I turn my face away from Your light. Remind me to keep watch from the tower of prayer. Let worry not bind me because Your all-seeing eyes know from where my attacks will come. It is Your intercession that spares me the worst assaults. Whatever You have ordained only serves to sift me as wheat. Make the chaff blow away, Lord God, when the Spirit of peace resumes its rightful place in my heart. Keep me observant of the signs of the times with a fervent devotion to prayer that shields against the ominous threat of history’s unfolding storms. Sound the alarms in the souls of Your people, Lord God. Only You can raise up the watchmen as trumpets for the times. What great armor You have supplied Your warriors, King of kings. May we ever be mindful to dress accordingly and with intent each and every day given us upon the battlefield. Under the power of the Word in Ephesians 6:10-11 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
