Gracious God of all eternal things, make Your dwelling within the heart of Your loved servant. Pierce me with the extravagance of Your tenderness so that I am comforted whenever I am in physical or spiritual distress. Take me to the deep cavern of compassion that exists only in Your Word and truth. Help me to glean power from that compassion which will enable me to minister to others in need. May the details of each day lead to the glory of Your amazing Name. Hold me up. Hold me close. Hold me tight so that the enemy does not gain a foothold. For You are my source of life now and always. You are my strength and my deliverer for all days to come. You are my healer and my refuge when the storms of life overwhelm my heart. Under the firm foundation of 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I lift these prayers to Your heavenly throne, O God.

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.
