To the God who shines the light of His Spirit into the hearts of those He chooses, let Your beloved taste and see Your goodness in my life. What a matchless inheritance we have been granted in Christ Jesus. Forgive me for the distractions that lead me to take for granted all I have been given in You. Bless me, Lord, with awareness of divine purpose which will keep my steps light while relieving the heavy burden of sadness upon my soul. Turn my focus away from what should have been and toward what will be as I joyfully grasp Your hand tighter and tighter through the perilous journey called life. Infuse me with Your grace, Your goodness, and Your perfect love as You show me Your delight. Those that You love are truly blessed indeed. Keep me from stumbling into the pitfalls of pain inflicted by those who promised love but failed to keep that promise. May the love I share with You, Jesus, be enough now and always. Under the treasured goodness of Psalm 18:16-19 and the authority of Christ, I pray with a devoted heart, my Lord and my God.
