Lord, You are the breadth and fullness of life. Your revealed love is a precious treasure. Your invitation is a priceless gift. You address the weary and heavy-laden with an eternal offer of solace and sweet rest. When the load on my heart is too heavy, You shoulder the burdens for me. When sorrow binds me and sin imprisons my soul, it is You who breaks the chains and sets my soul free. When anxiety haunts me and worry nips at my heels, Your Spirit chases it all away so my steps are ones of peace. Your offer of rest is so gracious, Lord. You do not give as the hurried, untested world gives. Upon the path You have set before me, there is no hurry, no failure, no disappointment, or second-guessing. Instead, there is a refuge, a guide, and a destination. My conscience no longer needs to carry the burden of my sin because You justified it on the cross. My heart no longer needs to ache with regret because Your Spirit sanctifies me. My soul no longer needs to feel uneasy because You will glorify Yourself in me. Let me find encouragement that, even though I must carry my cross, when following You I am not alone. I am fully equipped. I am made to do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Under the blessed assurance of Your Word in Psalm 8:3-6 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
    the moon and the stars, which You have set in place,
what is man that You are mindful of him,
    and the son of man that You care for him?
Yet You have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
    and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands;
