This book was such a wonderful way to spend my time! I was hooked from page one! I couldn’t wait to curl up, book and tea ready, to journey with Silas and Helen as they navigated their love story through the messy historical events that were the backdrop of Beautiful in His Sight.
April Gardner has such a remarkable writing style! Reading her novel is as delightful as enjoying a work of art. The pace is not forced as it dances with the energy of tragic events and slows down enough to pull the reader into the hearts and minds of the main characters. I almost had a hard time pacing myself as I couldn’t put the book down but didn’t want it to end.
Gardner’s characters are rich and vibrant with their own tragic backstories that keep you rooting for redemption. The book is historically flavorful and emotionally poignant. It reminded me of Francine River’s Redeeming Love. I definitely recommend reading Beautiful in His Sight to anyone who wants a reminder of love’s amazing power to reclaim your true identity in God’s eyes.

Demi!! Oh my goodness, this is such a gorgeous review! I’ve read books like that, where you want to read, read, read but are already sad about the inevitable end. I’m so honored you put Beautiful in His Sight in that category! Thank you so much for sharing about it. You’ve been a blessing to me today!
