Glory to the Lord who promises a great and mighty day. Glory to the One whose divine fingers catch the tears of grief from life in a fallen world. Blessed be the one who repairs the broken cisterns with the sole intent of filling them with divine contents. Let the prospect of eternity remain without blight through the filter of the eye of faith. The soul impoverished and neglected is loved and seen. The hungry heart feasts upon love unconquerable. The slandered are defended. The persecuted are avenged in Christ. Pain is but the shade of a former existence. Death is a vaporous shadow without substance. Lord, Your sanctification is not in vain. Keep working in me and through me. Let no other view except the one glittering upon the horizon of eternity prompt my vision. Eternal security offers so much. Conform me to Your image in the fullest. Until the day I will bask in a Kingdom whose sun never sets, drink from a river that never runs dry, and rest secure behind gates that can never be breached by the enemy, let me sing Your praises. No more weeping. No more hunger. No more pain. I cannot wish for anything because I have it all in Christ, my Savior. Under the canopy of truth in Revelation 21:3-4 and the authority of Christ, I bow in gratitude as prayer flows from my heart across my lips.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21:3-4, NIV
