My great God of all the universe, let Your treasured child be pulled into the depth of Your heart. Re-ignite my call to freedom Lord. Remove the shackles of sin that bind my soul. With loving power, enable me to serve You through loving others. Draw me away from the one who seeks to devour my soul because You woo me with the romance of truth as revealed in Your Holy Word. Your Word is truth that is foundational to my soul preservation. Prevent my disappointments from turning into injury as You center me on an eternal perspective that calms and soothes my heart. Let Your love flow through me, Your grace infuse me, Your mighty Word heal me, and Your tender touch mold me. Surround me with the rejoicing pleasure of sweet victory as I am consumed by desire to please my one and only King. Enable me to forgive others so that I might not be consumed by offense. I will look to You, Jesus, for the power of my inheritance which will allow me to walk in the way of love. Under the treasured truth of Galatians 5:13-15 and the authority of Christ, I set these prayers before You, O God.

 It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that’s how freedom grows. For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others as you love yourself. That’s an act of true freedom. If you bite and ravage each other, watch out—in no time at all you will be annihilating each other, and where will your precious freedom be then?
