Today’s Prayer

God, my loving Sustainer, bring sweet rest to the weary soul burdened with a heavy load. The strength of Your arms holds up the despairing spirit. Tender reminders of all that You promise are whispered throughout the pages of Your Word. Daily abiding in Your truth leads to a new level of intimacy even in the valley of tiredness. Your powerful Word breaks the resistance of a hardened soul as You answer midnight entreaties with Your abundant grace. Lord, You alone can grant everything needed to radiate Your light, to minister in Your Name, and to walk worthy through the deserts of life. Your manna is sweet to the taste. Your living water is an endless spring inside the thirsty soul. There is no replenishment outside of You. Nothing is too hard for You, Father. That which appears impossible is a delight for You because You desire to reveal Your sovereignty in every life that seeks You. In You, impossible miracles shape faith in marvelous ways so that the light and glory of Christ shine ever brighter. Under the Word of John 6:35-38 and the authority of Christ, my Savior, I lift these prayers to the throne of heaven.

Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with Me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen Me in action, you don’t really believe Me. Every person the Father gives Me eventually comes running to Me. And once that person is with Me, I hold on and don’t let go. I came down from heaven not to follow My own agenda but to accomplish the will of the One who sent Me.”
