Lord God Almighty, I long for You with a depth that can be frightening. Yet I find rich solace in the fact that if You cause such longing, then You will certainly satisfy it. How sweet it is when Your presence manifests itself in my day. Hunger of a spiritual sort rumbles to be fed by Your holy promises. Thirst of the heart is slaked thoroughly by Your presence. There is a hallowedness in worship reserved only for You, Lord. Daily, let me feast on Your truth. All emptiness finds fulfillment in You and through You. With great eagerness, I come to You empty, Lord. I trust in Your ways. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Blessed are those who seek peace in a world of strife. Though I am a weary traveler in a land of woe, I gladly take that next step if it leads me closer to You. Your supremacy is unmatched. Your glory revealed is the light on the eternal horizon. The riches of Your inheritance are beyond counting. Unsearchable is Your grace. Let me look and study and ponder. Your gift of salvation is a greater mystery than my finite mind can fathom. Lord, I thank You for Your willingness. I praise Your faithfulness to all generations. Let me bestow upon You the depth of holy devotion. Under the Word presented in Matthew 5:6 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
