Lord God, I yield to You in all honesty. Let Your promises prevail. Your Spirit leads the remnant in victory. Break the bonds that bind me to this world’s delights. Push through the illusion of liberty which does not exist outside of a tethered relationship with You. Lift my thoughts, desires, and interests heavenward. Make me aware of lingering corruption. Give me the weapons to fight it, Lord. My soul longs for the purity of holy living. The more I abandon myself, the more room I have for Your influence. At Your feet, Jesus, is where I belong. Give me ears to hear and eyes to see all that is pertinent to carrying out Your will. Let the mighty power of Your love flow over my soul with waves of compassion and mercy. Cleanse me with blood of the sacrifice. Justify me by Your righteousness and not my own. Lord, do not leave me naked in my iniquity. I am resigned to You and only You. May the faith You have granted me be the strongest conduit between my soul and heaven. May my most earnest prayers fetch Your blessings. Forgive me for my natural tendency to withdraw in times of distress. Your messages of love are so prevalent within the fabric of Your Word. Before I even call upon You for help, You have already sent the answer. With gratitude I approach the altar of prayer. Under the banner of the Word in Hebrews 4:16 and the authority of Christ, my Savior and Lord, I bow in humble petition.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
