Today’s Prayer

Called by Your Name, I find myself abundantly blessed. Lead me in steps of humility along this path of life stretching before me. Weave the thread of these prayers into the fabric of supplication. I seek Your heart, Lord God Almighty. Turn Your face to me and see what is happening all around. Help me turn from the temptations and subtle snares of worldly thinking. I beseech Your eyes by bowing before You submissively. My heart longs for Your glory. Who have You chosen, Lord? Who has been consecrated by truth? Point out the souls that are close and need a friendly nudge in Your direction. Only You can establish Your Kingdom on earth. Only Your Spirit can vanquish the enemy. Let those You have chosen not turn aside nor forsake You. Your love is far too astonishing to ignore. Make Yourself known through the interactions You allow in my life. Accept the offerings of my daily moments. Take the threads of thought and weave them into my soul using the fabric of Your Word. You are never far from my mind, Jesus. You are eternally near my heart. Blessed are the ones who know You intimately in worship. Under the blessed assurance of the Word in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NIV
