I want to hear Your voice above all things, Lord God. You speak with pure motives that reveal Your sovereign will. I thank You for the Spirit who interprets that which my mortal mind fails to comprehend. Take up fuller residency in my being. Put desire in my mind and heart for connections that will grant me divine understanding. My soul longs for truth to be imparted where deceit has shadowed me for too long. Use that truth as a chisel to shape and conform my thinking, Lord. Help me become a better image-bearer for Christ each sojourning day upon this earth. Tuck my heart into the fabric of Your Word so that I can see every ugly thread of my current state of existence and pull it out. Clip me of my deficiencies and faults through the scissors of grace. Assist me in not succumbing to erroneous ways. With boldness, allow me to be inspired to share all You have given me in terms of insight and understanding. Remind me not to hoard the truth but to let it flow through me for Your purpose of touching the hearts of others. I want to know You, Lord. Hearing Your voice is only one aspect of the beautiful relationship You offer those who yield to Your Lordship. Show me Your glory and enrich my heart with Your presence every moment. Under the blessing of the Word in John 10:27-28 and the authority of Christ, I bow in adoring prayer.
