Choose me for Your Name’s sake, great God Almighty. Turn me away from eternal destruction. Yours are the words of life. I delight to abide in You, Jesus. May love surpass any other form of devotion. Usher me into the habits of holiness. In itself, it is utterly lovely and absolutely necessary. In a world fraught with evil intentions, let the shadows chase me toward the light. Make me walk in it, never separating the end from the means. You chose me for a specific journey. Let me travel the footprints You left me to follow. I find the purpose of Your Word to be fixed and unchangeable. I cling to Your truth, forsaking the deception that has formed too many unlawful habits. Anoint the work of my hands, Lord. Do not let my actions be in vain. Only Your heart can draw me to a love that surpasses my feeble understanding. A love that unites body, spirit, and mind. Yours is the thread that never breaks, Lord. Keep me in this blessedly peaceful union for all my days. My times are in Your tender hands. Under the blessed assurance of the Word in Psalm 30:4-5 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
